Italian architect, Cristina Gherardi Benardeau, founded CG Design, after acquiring an international background in design working on projects from retail to residential, from yachts to jets, from New York to Paris…
She started her career in retail conceiving all the Virgin Megastore and Kenzo stores in France, as well as several department stores for the Brunswig family in Switzerland.
She then joined the LVMH group as Director of Architecture for Christian Dior Couture, developing luxury retail projects worldwide.
Moving to New York, she started and developed the Giorgio Armani Interior Design Studio in New York and in Milan for a decade, designing private residences and yachts for international clients, as well as the first Armani Casa real estate projects.
Through this experience, she then gathered a faithful team of professionals to create CG Design in Paris.
She credits the luxury world and working in a varied cultural universe for her sophisticated design yet insists her firm's primary aim is to converse a very strong architectural approach.
The aesthetic is contemporary however each project is the result of a thematic research based on the client’s expectations, the site and the cultural environment, bringing together the French Savoir Vivre, the Italian design virtuosity and the American efficient functionality.
Savannah, a 83.5 meter yacht Feadship, won this year three Showboats Design Awards, for best Exterior Design, best Interior Design, and best Holistic Design, meanwhile, residential projects for private clients as well as real estate development for Fendi continues in Dubai, Riyadh and Moscow.
